Paragliding Altivario by Julien Berthold is a perfect app for paragliders who have a phone with baro, compass and GPS. It is a free app that provides an altimeter with altivariometer indication of the vertical speed both acoustically and in a classical scale (±5m/s or ±10 feet/s). The app can also speak the vertical speed, making it perfect for audio-only use.
Paragliding Altivario allows tracking and recording of flights in icg file format that can be downloaded and posted to various sites. The app comes with a compass that displays the last thermal point inside it and the wind direction. Users can also configure the app to show the last X seconds (default 10) altitude gain/loss, flight duration, and history of the tracks recorded with max altitude, start/end altitude, max/min vertical speed, and more.
